Nordstrom To Hold Event For 280 New Jobs At Norwalk Store

As the finishing touches go on the new SoNo Collection Nordstrom store in Norwalk, the company is planning a mass hiring event for more than 280 positions.

Recruiters will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 16, and Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel at 474 Main Ave., in Norwalk.

The company is looking for both sales and support staff that includes positions from beauty consultants and hairstylists to housekeeping, loss prevention, and positions in the new store's restaurant and coffee bar.

The 140,000-square-foot store is set to throw open its doors on Thursday, Oct. 10.

This will be the first Nordstrom's in Fairfield County and the third in the state.
